Few chefs and restaurant owners have captured the time, zeitgeist and trendy ingredients and influences like Danyel Couet and his restaurant co-owner Melker Andersson. Since the early 1990s, their food and restaurants have launched new dishes, tastes, ideas and concepts in countless eateries – from the haute cuisine and inventive Michelin-starred Restaurant F12 to their latest restaurant, Mother. Mother refers to Mother Earth and features healthy, sugar-free food and modern techniques.
When it comes to creating restaurant concepts, Danyel is a true master, but he is also a meticulous chef – the kind of who will put any dish that isn’t presentation-perfect directly in the dustbin, just before it’s supposed to be served.
French-Swedish and raised in Paris, Danyel has hosted TV shows and published a number of cookbooks: Danyel Couet’s Paris has been translated into several languages. A Bocuse d’Or silver medalist, Danyel is currently the chef-owner of seven restaurants in Sweden.
